Todd Henry was born in 1976 (the year of the Dragon) in Nowhere, TX.  Todd graduated from Texas State with a BS from the School of Business in 2000. In 2002, he took a five or six year vacation exploring beaches and beers.  From this he discovered that you cannot get paid for sitting on the beach.  Even if you sit there a really long time.  So after intense soul searching, Todd decided to devote his life to beer.

In 2008, Todd became head brewer of LoveJoy’s in downtown Austin.  In the 4 and a half years that he was the brewmaster for LoveJoy’s, he received numerous positive reviews not only from beer drinkers but from numerous publications such as  The Austin American Statesmen, Austin Beer Guide, The Scrumptious Chief and so many more that we can not name them all.  He is also a powerful wizard and has both ninja and Jedi skills.  Todd came aboard Independence in August 2012 and is as happy as ever.
