Independence Brewing Celebrates Seventh Anniversary

AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin-based Independence Brewing Co. will celebrate their seventh anniversary on Saturday, October 22nd from 4-8 pm at 3913 Todd Lane #607.

The anniversary event will feature year-round favorites like Austin Amber and Stash IPA as well as rare edition beers, including the limited Seventh Anniversary English-style oak-aged IPA, 2010 Jasperilla Old Ale, and Brewluminati brews that include Thinkers Ale, an English dark ale; Gold Deluxe, an IPA brewed with Sorachi Ace hops; All Seeing Eye(PA), a double IPA; Braggot, an ale brewed with honey; and Epanoui, a Saison brewed with hibiscus flowers. Entertainment will be provided by the brewer-led band as well as local Austin rockabilly band Deuce Coupe.

The Seventh Anniversary party is open to the public with no admission charge. Each adult over 21 will receive a wristband which they can redeem for three beer samples. Commemorative anniversary glassware will be available for purchase for $12. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from Boomerang’s Australian meat pies.

Founded in 2004 by University of Texas at Austin alumni Amy and Rob Cartwright, Independence Brewing Co. has grown from two people with a dream, to a talented crew of 13 distributing six year-round beers and seasonal draft beers in key markets throughout the Central Texas region. The brewery is active in the Austin community sponsoring benefits with Sustainable Food Center and Austin-area dog rescues, hosting events at local Austin bars and opening their brewery the first Saturday of every month for beer tastings and brewery tours.

“We are extremely excited to be reaching this milestone. It shows how we have grown and developed as a brewery, expanding our line of beers while improving quality,” said Independence co-founder Amy Cartwright regarding the brewery’s achievement.
